【About our business】
The Research Institute for Animal Science in Biochemistry & Toxicology (RIAS) operated as a corporation of public interest under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries, and the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare. Our aim is to contribute to the development of sciences, promotion of the animal industry, and improvement in food hygiene and public health by conducting various examinations, inspections, research and development, and so forth of animal health products (including Fishery drugs), human drugs, feeds, feed additives, agricultural chemicals, chemical substances, and livestock products, etc.
In the institute, making full use of the latest facilities and apparatus, researchers with various qualification such as veterinarians, pharmacists, health laboratory technicians, clinical laboratory technicians, certified measurers, zootechnicians, and persons specialized in agricultural chemistry, etc. are engaged in business at the request of customers such as national and private organizations, pharmaceutical companies, meat packers and distributors, livestock farmers, and so forth.
【Public utilities】
We introduce widely the latest overseas information about biological science such as the veterinary drugs in Japanese (Shin-douyakujouhou).
We release productions of commissioned or subsidized projects from our government or public interest groups. And, we inform the public of information, investigation, research and expertise gathered by ourself (Academic research).
In addition, we are considering dissemination of information on our website, presentation at academia or study group, holding of seminars and symposiums, as well as establishment of our own study group.
